1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of Forge Bible Bot ("Forge Bible Bot," "the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), a free Christian ministry chatbot that integrates with Discord, Twitch, and Kick to provide Bible verse lookup, Scripture engagement features, prayer tools, and related functionality, together with our website at forgebiblebot.com (the "Site").

By inviting Forge Bible Bot to your Discord server, Twitch channel, or Kick channel, by connecting your account through OAuth, by using our website, or by interacting with the bot in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age requirements of the platforms where Forge Bible Bot operates: at least 13 years old to use Discord and Twitch, and the minimum age set by Kick for its services. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that your use of the Service complies with the terms of service of the underlying platform on which you access it.

3. Description of Service

Forge Bible Bot is a free Christian ministry tool that provides:

• Bible verse lookup, chapter reading, keyword search, and cross-references across multiple translations
• Bible trivia, the Scripture Word Game, and other engagement features
• Prayer request and praise report tools
• Verse of the Day, monthly memory verse, and devotional features
• OBS browser-source overlays for streamers
• A web dashboard for channel owners at forgebiblebot.com

The Service is provided free of charge as a Christian ministry. Features, available translations, and platform integrations may change over time as the Service evolves and as third-party platforms and licensors update their terms.

4. Account Connections

To use certain features of Forge Bible Bot, you may connect your Discord, Twitch, or Kick account through OAuth. By doing so, you authorize Forge Bible Bot to receive and store the limited account information described in our Privacy Policy. You may revoke this authorization at any time through your account settings on the relevant platform or by contacting us.

5. Acceptable Use

When using Forge Bible Bot, you agree that you will not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, anti-spam protections, content filters, or any other technical restrictions built into the Service
• Use the Service to harass, defame, threaten, or harm any person
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code beyond what is publicly disclosed by us
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our express written permission
• Use the Service in a manner that violates the terms of service of Discord, Twitch, Kick, or any other platform on which the Service operates
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or redistribute Bible translation content delivered through the Service in violation of the licenses governing those translations
• Submit content (such as prayer requests or saved verses) that is unlawful, abusive, sexually explicit, threatening, hateful, or that infringes on the rights of others
• Use the Service to gather personal information about other users beyond what those users have voluntarily made public

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of these rules, with or without notice.

6. User-Submitted Content

Forge Bible Bot accepts user-submitted content such as prayer requests, praise reports, and saved verses. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. Do not submit confidential information, personally identifiable details about other people without their consent, or content that you do not have the right to share. We may remove user-submitted content at our discretion if it violates these Terms or for any other reason.

7. Bible Translation Content and Attribution

Forge Bible Bot delivers Bible translation content through licensed third-party APIs. The translations made available through the Service are subject to the copyrights of their respective publishers. Bible translation content is delivered verbatim from the licensed source and is not modified, adapted, or generated by artificial intelligence or machine learning systems before being presented to users.

The following copyright notices apply to the translations available through the Service:

Use of copyrighted translations through the Service is subject to the terms set by the respective publishers and the API providers we contract with. Forge Bible Bot operates within the request limits, attribution requirements, and other obligations established by these license holders.

8. Intellectual Property

The Forge Bible Bot software, name, logo, and branding are the property of the Forge Bible Bot project. Bible translation content is the property of the respective publishers identified above and is licensed to Forge Bible Bot for delivery through the Service. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights in the Service, its software, or the Bible translation content delivered through it.

9. Service Availability

Forge Bible Bot is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the Service as a whole at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruption.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free from harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content delivered through the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge Bible Bot and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Forge Bible Bot and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of another party; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing Forge Bible Bot from your server or channel and revoking OAuth access through the relevant platform.

The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under or related to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice through the Service or our website. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
